LYNCHBURG, Va. - Meredith College Avenging Angels put together a strong and well-balanced showing at the Dennis Craddock Coaches Classic, highlighted by a dominant distance victory, multiple top-five finishes, and three program records.
Leading the way was juniorÂ
Delaney Bundy, who delivered a standout performance by winning the 10,000 meters in 36:12.76. Her victory set the new program record and currently sits in the top-25 for NCAA Division III.Â
Carly O'Toole added another solid performance, clocking 5:23.65 in the mile and 2:26.91 in the 800 meters, while freshmanÂ
Kaia Ramsey impressed with a 7th-place finish in the 1500 meters (5:26.71) and a 2:36.14 effort in the 800.
On the sprint side,Â
Abigail Clayton led the charge with a 13th-place finish in the 100 meters (12.77) and a standout 4th-place finish in the 400 meters, setting the new program mark at 58.19.Â
Abrianna Casarez contributed across multiple events, finishing 17th in the 200 meters (26.78), 11th in the 400 meters (1:01.41), and 6th in the 400 hurdles (1:09.90).Â

Natasha Elder added depth in the sprints with competitive efforts in the 100 and 200 meters.
The hurdles group continued to show strength, led byÂ
Halona Bryant, who added her own program record finishing 5th in the 400 hurdles (1:09.17) and added a top-10 finish in the 100 hurdles (17.06).Â
Lydia Smith also contributed in the 400 hurdles with a time of 1:15.94.
The field events saw impressive performances led byÂ
Bryanna Herring, who placed 3rd in the hammer throw with a mark of 42.90 meters and added a 5th-place finish in the shot put (11.19m).Â
Jamie Cornatzer followed closely in the hammer (6th, 41.17m) and contributed in the shot put, whileÂ
Finley Sparks led the way in discus (30.54m) and added a top-10 finish in the javelin (25.12m). In the pole vault,Â
Jane Gray Zechini cleared 2.90 meters to place 6th.
The Aveging Angels will finish out the Outdoor Season at the USA South Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championships in Concord, NC on April 24
th and 25
th.
