RALEIGH, N.C. - Delaney Bundy will represent the Meredith College track & field program this weekend at the Lee Last Chance Meet hosted by Lee University in Cleveland, Tennessee.
Bundy enters the meet following a historic performance in the 10,000 meters earlier this outdoor season. The Cary, North Carolina native crossed the finish line in 36:12.76, setting a new Meredith program record while also establishing a new USA South Conference record.
Her standout season has continued to elevate Meredith's presence in distance events, as Bundy has consistently competed among strong regional competition with a combination of endurance, discipline, and race strategy. The Lee Last Chance Meet now provides one final opportunity to improve her time as she looks to earn a qualifying spot for the NCAA Outdoor Championships in LaCrosse, WI.
Bundy is scheduled to compete in the 10,000 meters at 9:50 p.m. Saturday evening. Temperatures in Cleveland, Tennessee are expected to peak around 75 degrees earlier in the day before cooling to approximately 67 degrees by race time, creating favorable conditions for distance competition.
The meet will take place at the Ray Conn Sports Complex on the campus of Lee University.Â
