NEW ORLEANS, La. - Meredith College Track & Field has been honored for their outstanding work in the classroom over the 2025-26 academic year, earning the All-Academic Team Award from the USTFCCCA while a pair of individual also received accolades.

As a team, the Avenging Angels earned the distinction thanks to fantastic work in the classroom. To qualify for the USTFCCCA All-Academic Team award, a program must achieve a cumulative team grade-point average (GPA) of at least 3.10 on a 4.0 scale. This GPA must include all student-athletes who used a season of eligibility, taking into account both semester hours and quality points from the most recent grading period. 

Individually, the Angels had a pair of All-Academic selections as Delaney Bundy and Bryanna Herring each earned honors.

 

Both Bundy and Herring each earned individual honors for the first time in their careers as their selections marked the first for the program since the 2023 season.


 
They each add it to their extensive accolades over the summer, with both earning College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District recognition in June. Bundy took home outdoor all-region honors from the USTFCCCA in May as well.

To qualify for individual all-academic recognition, a student athlete must:

1. Minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.30 on a 4.0 scale through the most recently completed grading period. Institutions utilizing a different GPA scale must convert the GPA to a 4.0 scale using the standard conversion method [GPA/Scale x 4.0]. Data must be certifiable by the institution's registrar.
2. Meet one of the following athletic criteria:
   1. Must have finished the season among the top 50 individuals as listed on the descending order lists on TFRRS. In addition, any athletes not among the top 50, but who participated at the Indoor OR Outdoor National Championships, are eligible.
   2. Must have competed as a member of one of the top 35 relay teams as listed on the descending order list on TFRRS. In addition, any athletes not among the top 35 relay teams, but who participated in the relay at the Indoor OR Outdoor National Championships, are eligible. Finally, any competing relay team member on an expanded descending order list to include 35 institutions (1 relay team per institution) is eligible.
3. Graduate students must take all undergraduate plus graduate coursework into account.
