Meredith College junior Delaney Bundy delivered a historic performance on the track last week, earning USA South Athletic Conference Women's Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week honors following a record-setting run at the Lynchburg Craddock Coaches Classic.
Competing in the 10,000 meters, the Cary, North Carolina native turned in a standout performance, crossing the finish line in 36:12.76. The mark not only set a new Meredith program record, but also established a new USA South Conference record—solidifying Bundy's place among the top distance runners in the region.
Bundy's performance continues to elevate Meredith's presence in distance events, as she showcased both endurance and race strategy against a competitive field. Her record-breaking time further positions her as a key contributor as the Avenging Angels progress through the outdoor season.
With the postseason approaching, Bundy's momentum provides a strong foundation for Meredith as the team prepares for upcoming championship competition.
