Lacrosse Lands 10 All-Conference; Scott, Todd Earn Top Honors

RALEIGH, N.C. Meredith lacrosse continues to set the standard in the USA South, finishing the 2026 regular season in first place and securing the program's 20th conference championship (regular season and tournament combined). The Avenging Angels went a perfect 9-0 in league play, marking the 10th undefeated conference season in the program's 13-year history.

Meredith's dominance was reflected in the conference's postseason honors. Junior attacker Kenzie Todd earned USA South Offensive Player of the Year recognition after leading one of the league's most dynamic offenses, while Head Coach Lauren Scott was named Coach of the Year, adding to her already historic career at the helm of the program.

The Avenging Angels had 11 athletes receive All-Conference honors, showcasing the depth and balance that fueled their undefeated run.

Voted on by the league's head coaches, the conference awards further highlight the respect Meredith has earned across the USA South. Full details, including additional individual honors from around the conference, are available in the league's official release.

FIRST TEAM, ALL-CONFERENCE 

ATTACK
Kenzie Todd – The most dynamic player in the lineup, Todd dominated both in conference and overall, totaling 45 goals and 70 points in USA South play while finishing the season with 77 goals and 112 points. A go-to option in the clear, she added 35 assists on the year along with 46 ground balls and 29 caused turnovers, showcasing her all-around impact.

Reese Walker – Walker powered the offense with 78 conference points (33 goals, 45 assists) and finished the season with a team-best 127 points on 63 goals and 64 assists. With elite vision and a high lacrosse IQ, she ranks among the nation's best, adding 56 ground balls and 46 caused turnovers to her stat line as a true all-field presence.

MIDFIELDER
Bailey Swails – A smart and athletic midfielder, Swails recorded 25 goals and 27 points in conference play and finished with 48 goals and 55 points overall. She controlled possession with 47 draw controls in league play and an impressive 71 on the season, while adding 37 ground balls and 28 caused turnovers to anchor both ends of the field.

DEFENDER
Katherine Couch – Couch anchored the defense with 20 ground balls and 14 caused turnovers in conference play, finishing the season with 46 ground balls and 30 caused turnovers. Her field awareness, toughness, and reliability make her a steady presence on the back line, consistently creating transition opportunities and momentum shifts.

SECOND TEAM, ALL-CONFERENCE 

MIDFIELDER
Madison Dean – Dean has been dominant on the draw, recording 57 draw controls in conference play and an impressive 104 on the season. Her speed and versatility make her a true utility player, as she continues to elevate her impact each game while contributing across the field with 10 goals, 13 points, and consistent possession control.

DEFENDER
Reagan Amiott – Quick, aggressive, and physical, Amiott is a defender who holds her ground and competes. She backed up her play with 22 ground balls and seven caused turnovers on the season, consistently bringing toughness and stability to the back line.

GOALIE
Delaney Posehn – A steady and reliable presence in the cage, Posehn has been a backbone for Meredith all season. She led the conference with a .606 save percentage in league play, one of the top marks in recent USA South history, while finishing with 78 saves and 13 wins overall, anchoring the defense with consistency and composure.

THIRD TEAM, ALL-CONFERENCE

ATTACK
Logan Campbell – After transitioning from a reserve midfielder to a full-time attacker, Campbell made an immediate impact with her speed and scoring ability. She tallied 22 goals in conference play and finished with 33 goals and 37 points on the season, proving to be a dangerous offensive threat.

MIDFIELDER
Mia Frick – A consistent force in the midfield, Frick controlled possession with 19 draw controls in conference play and 41 on the season. She added 16 conference goals and finished with 29 overall, showcasing her ability to impact both the draw and the attack while being a key addition to the lineup.

DEFENDER
Madelynn Maday – A lockdown defender, Maday has been a steady presence on the back line all season. She recorded 14 ground balls and six caused turnovers in conference play, finishing with 22 ground balls and 10 caused turnovers overall, consistently shutting down opposing threats.

ALL-SPORTSMANSHIP TEAM

Bailey Swails earned a spot on the All-Conference Sportsmanship team. A coveted honor voted on by the team and submitted to the conference.
