Couch, Todd Earn USA South Weekly Honors

RALEIGH, N.C. – Two Meredith lacrosse players earned USA South Women's Lacrosse Weekly Awards following a dominant 2-0 week in conference play. Junior defender Katherine Couch earned Defensive Player of the Week, while junior attacker Kenzie Todd was named Offensive Player of the Week honors after standout performances against league opponents.

On the defensive end, Couch anchored Meredith with a strong all-around performance. The junior from Cortlandt, New York totaled six caused turnovers, eight ground balls, and nine draw controls over the two contests. In the win at Methodist, Couch caused three turnovers, collected five ground balls, and secured three draw controls. She continued her impact against Southern Virginia with three caused turnovers, three ground balls, and six draw controls to help Meredith complete the conference sweep.

Todd, a junior attacker from Brookfield, Connecticut, powered Meredith's offense with 16 total points on 12 goals and four assists across the two victories. She added six ground balls and one caused turnover to her stat line. In Meredith's 16-2 win at Methodist, Todd recorded five goals and one assist while also forcing a turnover. She followed with an explosive performance in a 24-4 victory over Southern Virginia, tallying seven goals, three assists, and six ground balls to lead the Avenging Angels.

The duo's efforts were instrumental in Meredith's success on both sides of the field, highlighting the Avenging Angels' balance and momentum as they continue USA South play.
