RALEIGH, N.C. - Meredith College runners Delaney Bundy and Juana Silva Jimenez were recognized by the USA South Athletic Conference this week for their outstanding performances at the Queens' University Royals' Cross Country Challenge, where the Avenging Angels claimed first place as a team.
Junior Delaney Bundy, of Cary, North Carolina, was named USA South Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week after finishing first out of 147 runners with a time of 18:36 on the 5,000-meter course. This marks Bundy's third Runner of the Week honor this season, previously earning the recognition on September 1 and September 15.
Freshman Juana Silva Jimenez, from Moncure, North Carolina, earned her first-ever USA South Cross Country Rookie of the Week award after placing fifth overall in the same field with a time of 19:10.
