RALEIGH, N.C. – Senior pitcher Lillie Davis of Meredith College has been named USA South Pitcher of the Week following an outstanding performance in the circle that helped power the Avenging Angels to a perfect week.

The Roxboro, North Carolina native was dominant across four appearances, including three starts, finishing with a 3-0 record. Davis logged 20.0 innings over the week and posted a stellar 0.35 earned run average, allowing just three runs—only one of which was earned—on seven hits. She also tallied 24 strikeouts while issuing just six walks, showcasing both power and control.

Davis was especially impressive in conference play against Brevard, where she earned two complete-game victories in five-inning outings. In those appearances, she allowed only two unearned runs on four hits while striking out 12 batters and walking three, keeping the Tornados off balance throughout both games.

Her consistency and command throughout the week anchored Meredith's pitching staff and played a crucial role in the team's success. Davis' ability to limit opposing hitters and deliver in key moments continues to be a major asset for the Avenging Angels as they push forward in USA South competition.

With the honor, Davis adds another accolade to her senior campaign, further solidifying her status as one of the top pitchers in the conference.
