RALEIGH, N.C. – The postseason has arrived for the Meredith College lacrosse program as the Avenging Angels open play in the 2026 USA South Women's Lacrosse Tournament on Saturday, April 25. Top-seeded Meredith will host No. 8 Brevard College in a first-round matchup, with opening draw set for 11:00 a.m. on campus.

Meredith enters the tournament riding the momentum of a dominant regular season that secured the program's 20th conference championship. The Avenging Angels have been one of the most complete teams in the league all spring, combining a high-powered offense with disciplined defensive play, and now turn their focus to a postseason run on their home field.

Saturday's matchup marks the beginning of a single-elimination tournament, with winners advancing to the semifinals on Thursday, April 30. The highest remaining seed after the first round will host both the semifinal and championship rounds, with the USA South title game scheduled for Saturday, May 2.

For Meredith, the path is clear: defend home turf and continue building on a season defined by consistency, depth, and championship expectations.
